Hi! My name is Alec. a Web Design and Developer based in Edmonton, Alberta! I recently completed my diploma in Digital Media and IT - Web Design and Development at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), where I built a solid foundation in full-stack development and UI/UX design.
During my capstone course, I had the opportunity of to lead a collaborative development team to make a website for our clients. As the team lead, I was mainly responsible for organizing team tasks, facilitated design sprints, client meetings, and ensuring we get the job done on time. The experience sharpened both my technical and soft skills, especially in communication, problem-solving and adaptability.
I am currently expanding more on my skills through freelance work, focusing on building custom Shopify themes and exploring frameworks like Astro. I enjoy learning modern development workflows and translating design concepts into fast, accessible websites.
